The day from hell, courtesy of Apple

Here's an example of Apple being too clever for real life situations.

I was in New Zealand, and wanted to check my London commitments in the following week. The 28th looked like the day from hell. Start with a meeting at 4am, and then keep going to seeing the dental hygienist at 11:30pm.

Of course, it's just Apple being too clever, showing GMT appointments in the time zone of the phone - 13 hours ahead. So that 4am meeting is actually 3pm on the 27th; the teeth clean is at 10:30am on the 28th.

A clear counter-example to the Applauders* who claim that iPhone apps just work.

* Applauder : noun : someone who heaps praise on Apple
