Ernest Hemingway on Test Driven Development

"Stop when you are going good and when you know what will happen next. If you do that every day ... you will never be stuck."
Ernest Hemingway On Writing

"Finish a solo session by writing a test case and running it to be sure is doesn't pass. When you come back to the code, you then have an obvious place to start. You have an obvious, concrete bookmark to help you remember what you were thinking."
Test-Driven Development By Example Kent Beck

It's not crazy to suggest there is a direct link between these two great minds. Beck picked up the advice with regard to writing, and I know that writing teachers in America get students to read the book of Hemingway's thoughts as guidance.
